It’s been crazy busy with a teething baby, full time working and a birthday party to host this week so I felt lucky to finally crash on the couch last night and watch a movie. Baby sleeping, boyfriend out for drinks… hurray for some ‘me-time’! And luck was on my side! The movie Easy Virtue was on, in the version of director Stephan Elliott. This movie just blew my mind!

Originally a theater play, for the first time turned into a silent movie by no one less than Alfred Hitchcock, and in 2008 redirected by Stephan Elliot. The main stars being Jessica Biel, Ben Barnes, Colin Firth and Kristin Scott Thomas. Despite the bad review I read online, I found the story to be quite beautiful… but it were the 20s dresses, blouses, pants and hats on Jessica Biel that made my jaw drop and make me dream off a better wardrobe! Costume designer Charlotte Walter, you’ve got it!
