Vintage Tomado Shelf on Baroness O.

Somehow I find myself in a hate – love relationship with vintage. I can’t really say that I hate it because vintage is all over my own place. But I like to keep a good balance between new and vintage. Mostly because ‘real’ vintage has become so expensive these days now everyone is trying to fill their homes with as many vintage objects as they can possibly find. I wonder why many desperately hold on to their vintage-addiction.

After blogging around for nearly 2 years, we decided it was time to do something design-concept-crazy! We’ve been working really hard for a few months now and it’s finally time to reveal what we’ve actually been up to!

The last weekend of Interieur 12 was even more dedicated to young designers because de Invasie organized an Interieur 12 Battle.
As I told you before VOMO 13 showed of their graduation collection once more.
Except for our little space I must admit that the Villa was definitely the place to be.

Once every two year all design-loving Belgians look forward to Interieur Kortrijk. As a designer myself, I’ve been very much looking forward to this event, not only because they changed the concept a bit, but also because it’s the first time ever I got the chance to display my own work.

Do you remember the article we wrote about the new generation of Belgian furniture designers exhibiting their work at DMY in Berlin? We’ll in that case we have some good news for you!
This weekend they will be part of the Battle on Interieur 2012. If you’re in the neighborhood definitely stop by and show us some furniture-love!

Last Wednesday Line and I were invited to the opening of the brand new Garde-robe Nationale store in Antwerp. Unfortunately Felix decided his mommy should stay home so I had to go on my own.
As a lifestyle blogger it’s quite intimidating to spend a night with all those super fashionable fashion blogger but I survived. No I’m just kidding, I had a great night and met the super nice and very fashionable ladies of Ella & Louise, the Merrymaker, PolienneDorothy Dancing and off course Oona 🙂

Enough about the fashionable bloggers, the actual reason they ‘dropped’ me between those ladies is the new interior of the store designed by Dieter Vander Velpen.

Yesterday we travelled trough Belgium, and yes by travelling in Belgium I mean at least driving for one hour straight (!), to pick up a couch for the Baroness O. office.
Belgium is a small country so whenever we have to drive for more than one hour, we consider it a very long drive!
But it was definitely worth the drive! Our new couch is a vintage C&B Italia Amanta by Mario Belinni from 1964.
